The territory that encloses Zone 1, referred to as the Parco Alto Garda, is a designated natural reserve in the province of Brescia extending from the shores of upper Lake Garda. The park covers a surface area of approximately 38,000 hectares including the municipal districts of Salo, Gardone Riviera, Toscolano Maderno, Valvestino, Magasa, Gargnano, Tignale, Tremosine and Limone sul Garda. The unusual and interesting environmental features complement the vast historical and cultural heritages maintained in evidence throughout the whole area allowing the possibility of a travel into the past.
